The best times to visit Boston is from June to November. Mild fall weather makes touring around on foot a joy. And even though summer brings in swarms of tourists and expensive hotel rates, the sidewalk cafés, the baseball games and the outdoor concerts make it worth it. Winter is chilly, so pack a warm coat and a pair of boots if you decide to see Beantown sprinkled (or immersed) with snow. Another incentive: you might catch a great deal on a hotel.

Just far north enough, Boston enjoys pretty temperate summers. Average high temperatures hover in the 80s. But this is also the most expensive time to visit, as hordes of tourists partake in baseball games, outdoor concerts and the mild temperatures. In the fall, temperatures drop to highs in the 60s and 70s, but you’ll find fewer tourists and the contagious energy of back-to-school Harvard students.

Key Events:

The wintertime sees average temperatures ranging in the 20s to the 40s, and this East Coast city also sees a lot of the white stuff. If you travel this time of year, pack warm clothes. On the bright side, there are fewer tourists to elbow by on the Freedom Trail, as well as some deals on accommodations.

Key Events:

Springtime is beautiful in Boston, and yet the temperatures are just bearable -- in the 30- to 60-degree range, March through May. But wearing layers -- and the knowledge that you scored a decent deal on your hotel -- will go a long way to making you feel warm and toasty.

Any advice for a visit to Columbus Ohio area?

I'm travelling to Columbus Ohio in early March and I'm looking for a little information.I have received some literature from the Columbus Chamber of Commerce etc...but the Columbus Zoo doesn't look too promising.
I am looking for advice from locals or someone who has spent time in Columbus.Any unique places to see? Good resturants/bars? Museums? Theatres?
What is going on in German Town? The Short-North (is that right?)?
Should I bail on Columbus and head to Cincinnatti? Cleaveland?
Other cities that I have visited and enjoyed include: NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, Miami, Vegas
