Please Note: The Aquarium will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 25 for a special event.

The Aquarium has just completed a renovation that has renewed its main building to the core. The iconic Giant Ocean Tank has undergone a top-to-bottom, 21st-century transformation. Learn more about all the changes you'll see when you visit!

Take in inspiring nature films on the largest screen in New England! Escape the heat with a penguin family in Penguins 3D and get to know one of Earth's most fascinating predators in Great White Shark 3D. Ride along with sharks, sea turtles and tropical fish in Deep Sea 3D.

Head out on the water with our partners at Boston Harbor Cruises for an excursion to the rich feeding grounds of whales, dolphins, sea birds and other marine life at Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Our season runs late March through October.

Is photography allowed? Do you rent wheelchairs? Can I bring my own food? Are there ways to celebrate birthday parties at the Aquarium? Answers to these and other questions that really are the most frequently asked.

You can eat right in the Aquarium, at the kid-friendly Harbor View Café. Visitors can also head to Faneuil Hall for a quick lunch. After you see the exhibits, visit the Aquarium Gift Shop, either in person or online for a selection of great gifts.

Host an event at the New England Aquarium and mingle with your guests among world-class exhibits featuring animals from around the world. From corporate events to weddings, our event and catering staff can help plan a memorable celebration.

From the Boston Globe:

The city is stationing 12-foot-tall red beacons shaped like pins at 10 Boston landmarks, including the New England Aquarium, Franklin Park Zoo, and Boston Children's Museum, as part of the campaign called "Visit the Pin." Seven of the 10 pins are permanent, while the other three will be moved around the city. The city is also launching print, broadcast, and transit ads plugging the initiative, and has printed a summer guidebook.
This looks like the campaign you are talking about.
