....after warren dunes, you can veer back south and re join I-90 east, which is the indiana toll road. be sure to drive along
the southern great lakes---lake erie and ontario. lots of War of 1812 historical sites in this area. also, i would check out niagra falls at this time as you'll be going pretty far out of your way on your westbound route thru canada. btw, the canadian side of the falls is the more scenic side. unfortunately, the US side is blighted with rusted out industries (at least it was 10 years ago). fyi, the whole niagra falls area is another tourist trap, but, again, if you could look beyond that and focus on the sheer power and beauty of the river and falls, it's worth it
